Overall, the season went well but Half Time Wrecked (HTW) still fell short in the standings in comparsion to The Urban Achievers. It should be noted that HTW managed to pull themselves up from last place and it appears they finished strong. The strange part about it is that HTW made short work of their opponent last week when Captain Nick was absent from the lineup. Now that some players have some experience under their belt, perhaps it's time to start a new team and break free of the oppressive bonds that Nick creates. It's just a thought, but it worked out well for The Urban Achievers.
Some lowlights for the 08/09 season:
1. The changes for this year's schedule brought on a lot of new teams that weren't very fun to play with.
2. The new schedule normally had HTW and The Achievers playing on different times.
3. The Urban Achievers may have missed out on winning some $$.
Some highlights for the 08/09 season:
1. The Urban Achievers sweeping HTW as the Achievers scored 25 unanswered points.
2. The emergence of a few rookies that ended up playing vital roles for their teams by year-end.
3. Old man Paulie (on The Knights) trying to figure out how to use a cell phone in the basement.
4. HTW beating The Bombers, one of the better teams in the league.
5. Taco Man's health appears to be better compared to last year, which might sounds strange to the rookies.
6. Free booze for an hour on Tuesday!
